About CLD

Community Learning and Development (CLD) in the Seaboard Villages aims to empower individuals and local groups to make positive changes in their lives through community based learning and community action.

In November 2014 we were awarded funding from the People’s Health Trust to create an IT Training Workspace and printing area, giving easy internet access, use computers, printing and scanning to local people, groups and visitors alike. This project called ‘Stepping Stones’ is seen as a means to develop and learn new skills, engage in further education, assist with seeking employment and encourage home working.

Running with the project we have put on courses, using our new equipment, for Photoshop, WordPress, Microsoft Excel, smartphone and tablet training and digital drop-ins. If you have any suggestions for other courses you think people would benefit from please do contact us.
